Carl A. Sanland, Jr

Mr. Carl A. Sanland Jr., 70, of Calhoun died on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Gordon Hospital.

Carl was born on February 9, 1945 in Cleveland, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Carl A Sanland Sr. and Maveen Yoder Sanland. He served in The United States Navy. Over the years, Carl had been a truck driver and in the construction business. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy Sanland; his sons and daughter-in-law, Charlie Sanland, and Billy and Bernice Roberts; his daughters and son-in-law, Sherry Sanland, Suzan Sanland, and Priscilla and Billy McKee; his sisters and brother-in-law, Martha and Charles Baker, Linda Sanland, and Shelia Sanland; his grandchildren, Terrell, Carli, Danielle, William, Jeanette, Christian, Isaac, Emmie, Brentley, Brennah, Charles, Jamie, and Kayla; his great-grandchildren, Abigail, Sierra, Jeffrey, Lucas, Iziah, David, William, and Kai; numerous nieces and nephews.

To honor his wishes, Carl's body was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
