Carl Harold Woody

Mr. Carl Harold Woody, age 58 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, November 07, 2007 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Woody was born on March 02, 1949 in Bartow County, son of the late Robert Carl Woody and Ruth Estell Wilson Woody. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Edward Woody. During his lifetime, he served his country with the United States Army, and was associated with Northwest Georgia Paving Company as a truck driver.

Mr. Woody is survived by his wife, Linda Carol Winkles Woody of the home; one daughter; Tonya Hughes of Rydal; and one son, Theron Woody of Fairmount. Ten grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Carl Harold Woody will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Long officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include Daymon McClure, Ronnie Blalock, David Hughes, Rev. Lamar Long, David Bennett and Bud Davis. Honorary pallbearers serving will be management and employees of Northwest Georgia Paving Company, and Jimmy Mealor. Burial will follow the service in the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery at Pine Log. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening during the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
