Mrs. Carol Ann Holbert Bergos, age 60 of Calhoun, died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Gordon Hospital following six months declining health. She was born in Akron, Ohio on December 25, 1952, daughter of Sue Cline Holbert and the late Howard Holbert. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bergos in 2013, and a grandson, Skyler Evans.
Prior to her retirement Carol had been employed with Calhoun Health Care and the Gordon County Training Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Brandy Lumpkin, Liesa Chastain, Sue Lamb, and Ruthie Harville, all of Calhoun; a son, Charlie Lumpkin; and grandchildren, Lilly Harvill, Logan Harvill, Paris Lamb, Patience Lamb, Emily Chastain, Miranda Pack, and Scott Lumpkin. Other survivors include two very special cousins, Deborah Hannah and Angie Fuller; an aunt, Barbara Cline; sons-in-law, Carl Sanford and Josh Lamb; cousins, Rhonda Broome and Erica Hughes; and very special friends, Betty Pope, Molly Taylor, Trish Poindexter, Terri, and all her church family at East Calhoun Church.
Services to celebrate the life of Carol Ann Holbert Bergos will be held Thursday, December 5th at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Max (Bud) Fuller and Rev. Keith Reid officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Carl Sanford, Charlie Lumpkin, Scott Lumpkin, Dwight Holbert, Josh Lamb, and Ryan.
The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
