Obituary

Carolyn Blackstock Barton, 78, of Calhoun, died Monday, January 22, 2018 at Gordon Health Care, following several months of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on March 26, 1939, daughter of the late Ralph and Madge Blackstock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Trammell Johnson Barton; and her son, Edmond Barton.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Shelley Barton of Calhoun, Jeffrey and Wendy Barton of Ranger, and Steven and Jessica Barton of Calhoun; grandchildren, Kayla Barton, Autumn Stokes, Abigail Barton, Alex Barton, Bryce Bussert, and Jessica Bussert; and a great-grandchild, Aleah Stokes. Nephews, Chris Patterson and Lynn Stone; and a niece, Lesa (Lance) Timms, also survive.
Services to honor the life of Carolyn Blackstock Barton will be held Wednesday, January 24th at 11:00 AM, from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Harold Blackstock officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery.
The Barton family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
