Mrs. Carolyn Lindsey, age 60 of Calhoun, departed this Earth and went to her maker on Friday, October 23, 2009 at her residence, following a short illness while surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Lindsey was born on February 7, 1949 in Trion, Georgia, daughter of the late James Wesley Bryant and Ulene Carter Bryant. During her lifetime, she was employed by Georgia Tufters for 28 years, and was a proud graduate of the 2009 GED Class, where she enjoyed furthering her knowledge. She was a member of the National Day Lillie Association, loved to travel, enjoyed gardening and making crafts, and loved sharing time with her family. She attended the Bethesda Baptist Church in Lafayette, Georgia.

Mrs. Lindsey was a devoted wife to her husband Douglas for 46 years. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Dooley and her husband Mike of Calhoun; three sons, Harold Lindsey, Jerry Lindsey and his wife Sabrina, and Paul Lindsey and his wife Tina, all of Calhoun; a sister, Kathy Kendrick of Jackson, Georgia; and a brother, Tony Bryant of Calhoun. Seven grandchildren, Sean Lindsey, Chelsea Lindsey, Dylan Landress, Lacey Landress, Megan Lindsey, Ciera Lindsey and Colton Lindsey; and several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Lindsey will be conducted Monday at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Pastor Kevin Amick officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Chandler Cemetery, with Rev. Walter Hare officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Jerry Lindsey, Paul Lindsey, Harold Lindsey, Sean Lindsey, Mike Dooley and Dylan Landress. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday, between the hours of 3:00pm and 9:00pm.
