Casey Blaine Tate, 35, of Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Calhoun, Georgia died suddenly on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his residence.
Casey was born in Gordon County, Georgia on January 28, 1985, son of Randy and Sandra Kirby Tate. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Geneva Clark Tate, his maternal grandfather, Rayford Kirby, and aunt, Ann Brock Tate.
Casey was a 2003 graduate of Calhoun High School. He graduated West Georgia College with a degree in Marketing and Mass Communication in 2008. After college he worked for Star 94 with Cindy and Ray as "Producer Casey" on the morning show and later with Cindy and Jimmy for 8 years. In 2015 Casey moved to Raleigh, North Carolina as a Producer on the Gene and Julie morning show. For the last 3 years Casey worked in real estate at DT&CO Real Estate. Casey was a bright light to the world. He was always smiling and making you laugh. He loved his family and his friends tremendously. He lived a life most people will never live. He got to travel and meet many celebrities. He lived life to the fullest with the biggest of hearts.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Sandra Kirby Tate, sister and brother in law; Cameron and Nathan Roberts, brother and sister-in-law; Corey and Amy Tate, his fur babies; Dolly and Parton, nieces and nephews; Spencer Ford, Emily Roberts, Easton Tate, Mia Tate and Caroline Tate, grandmother; Dimple Blalock Kirby, aunts and uncles; Joyce Blackstock, Patricia Frix, Michael and Camilla Langston, Ronnie and Pam Clark and Calvin Tate. Several cousins and other relatives also survive.
A service to celebrate Caseys life will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at South Calhoun Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include; Spencer Ford, Matthew Blackstock, Shane Tinch, Jamie Kirby, Eric Tate, Darrin Langston and Brett Wright.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 22nd at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 PM. His body will be placed in state at South Calhoun Baptist Church on Monday, November 23rd to lie in state from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 2:00 PM.
Due to the National health crisis and the COVID 19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home and the church.
