Obituary

Cathryn Pettit Mashburn, 88, of Resaca, Georgia died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 after a 5-month illness. She was born on February 1, 1932 to the late Charles and Bertha Pettit. She was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Mitchell Mashburn in 2016.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mitch and Mendy Mashburn; daughter and son-in-law, Julia Michelle and James Patterson; sisters; Evelyn Gaines and Faye Pettit; grandchildren, Alex, Casey, and Kelly Mashburn, and Patrick Patterson; a host of other relatives also survive.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Her body will lie in state at Maple Grove Baptist Church Friday, March 13, 2020 from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 1:00 PM from Maple Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Duane Smith and Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Courtland Gaines, Cody Green, Andrew Benton, Tabor Peters, Jhan Timms, Lambert White, and Jerome White.
