Cecil Clark

Mr. Cecil Jerome Clark, age 51 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, February 11, 2011.

He was born on September 15, 1959 in Moultrie, Georgia, son of the late Cecil Herman Clark and Minnie Pearl Yates Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Toby Mathis.

Mr. Clark is survived by his wife, Jacalin Gail Clark of Calhoun; two daughters, April Sloan and her husband Ronald of Calhoun, and Chevohn Upshaw and her husband Andrew of Kileen, Texas; a son, Scott Claborn and his wife Shawnna of Decatur, Alabama; two sisters, Jackie Turner and her husband Frankie of Albany, and Janie Bunch and her husband Tim of Calhoun; and three brothers, Jerry Clark and his wife Sandra of Resaca, Johnny Purcell of Calhoun, and Bruce Buckhalt of Dothan, Alabama. He was a wonderful Pepaw to Jacob Sloan, Caitlin Pyles, Dakota Shankles, and Logan, Landon, and Lily Claborn. He was also a great son-in-law to Betty Claborn and the late William (Bill) Claborn of Haleyville, Alabama. Nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Jerome Clark were conducted Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Brother Mike Farmer officiating.

The family received friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Sunday from 9:00am until the funeral hour.
