Mr. Charles Edward Hall, Sr., age 65 of Rome, Georgia, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Floyd Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Hall was born on February 8, 1942 in Bartow County, son of the late Robert Jasper Hall and Pearl Grace Buttrum Hall. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Charles (Chuck) Hall, Jr. and Timothy Hall; one sister, Gladys Buttrum; and three brothers, Bud Hall, Henry Hall and Harvey Hall. During his lifetime, he was employed as a Welder in the construction industry.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, the former Judith Diane Jordan, to whom he was married for 48 years; three daughters, Suzy Pittman and her husband, Bobby of Dawsonville, and Sandy Olson and Ann Hall, both of Rome; two sons, Russell Hall and his wife Ladonna of Dawsonville, and Steven Hall and his wife Angie of Dawsonville; and one brother; Fain Hall of Calhoun. Seventeen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Hall, Sr. will be conducted Saturday at 3:00pm, from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Bishop John Grout officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Adairsville. Active pallbearers will include Arthur Manning, Al Baker, Tommy Scott, Ben Scott, Ed Williams, and James Cook. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 2:15pm. Honorary pallbearers will include Homer Pittman and Christian Kuss, and they are asked to meet at the funeral home Saturday at 2:45pm. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Friday evening, during the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.
