Mr. Charles Elbert Greeson, age 78 of Resaca, died Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Gordon Health Care. He was born in Murray County, GA on May 12, 1937, son of the late Martin and Tiny Hix Greeson.
Mr. Greeson was a retired poultry farmer.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Peggy Henson Greeson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Scott Nesbitt, and Kim and Chris Callahan; two sons, Danny Greeson and Matthew Greeson and his wife Tiffany; his twin sister, Edna Hogsed; sisters, Linda Cagle and her husband Allen, and Wanda Jean Stewart; grandchildren, Kala Greeson, Sayrah Greeson, Julee Greeson, Braden Callahan, Coby Callahan, Annistyn Greeson, and Macauley Greeson; and great-grandchildren, Madison Johnson and Nathan Braddy. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Charles Elbert Greeson will be held Thursday, June 11th at 1:00 PM from Higher Praise Church of God, 10051 Hwy 225 S., Chatsworth, GA, with Rev. Terry Timms, Rev. Bill Tatum, and Rev. Jimmy Timms officiating. Mr. Greeson's body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour. Music will be arranged by Debbie Bagley. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery with Rev. Joe Parker officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Chris Callahan, Braden Callahan, Coby Callahan, Marty Cagle, Neil Stewart, and Jeff Correll.
The Greeson family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
