Charles Holder

Mr. Charles Edward Holder, age 66 of Ranger, Georgia; passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. Holder was born on May 3, 1944 in Cleveland, Tennessee; son of the late Harrison and Beatrice Inez Cash Holder. During his lifetime he served his country with the United States Army and worked for Ed Kirby Chevrolet in Dalton, Georgia.

Mr. Holder is survived by his wife, Patricia Payne Holder to whom he was married for 49 years, One daughter, Melinda Holder of Waskom, Texas. Two sons; Charles Holder and his wife, Mary of Rome, Georgia and Michael Holder and his wife, Dawn of Ranger, Georgia. One sister; Peggy Cansler of Cleveland, Tennessee. Grandchildren; SPC Joshua Tinsley and his wife, Stephanie; Tiffany Duncan and her husband, Jason; Zachary Holder and his wife, Paige; Zane Holder, Michael Holder; T.J. Lipscomb and his wife, Andrea and Cody Tinsley. Great grandchildren; Jace Duncan, Colton Holder; P.J. Tinsley and Braden Lipscomb. Nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survives.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Holder will be conducted Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Coomer and Dr. Roger Whorton officiating. Active pallbearers serving will include; SPC Joshua Tinsley, Zachary Holder, Zane Holder, Jason Duncan, Bobby Hollingsworth and Andy Self. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Payne, Lee Shipman, James Wilson and T.J. Lipscomb. Interment will follow the services at the Haven of Rest Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors being accorded at graveside. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Sunday evening during the hours of 5 until 8 pm
