Charles Laurens Mcdaniel

Mr. Charles Laurens McDaniel, age 86 of Calhoun, died Saturday, July 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Gordon County on August 5, 1924, son of the late Charles Homer and Effie Hice McDaniel.

Mr. McDaniel was a veteran, serving his country in the US Air Force, and had been employed with Coastal States Insurance Company.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Mitchum of Cumming, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Frances McDaniel of Euharlee, GA; two grandchildren, Scott Mitchum and Chris Mitchum; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Laurens McDaniel will be held Thursday, July 28th at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Chandler Cemetery with military honors.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 10:00am until the funeral hour of 11:00am.
