Obituary

Mr. Charles W. (Chuck) Pettit Jr., 57, of Rome, formerly of Calhoun, died Friday, July 17, 2020, at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome after several months of declining health.
Mr. Pettit was born on May 1, 1963, son of the late, Charles W. Pettit Sr and Peggy Myrtle Herington Pettit. He attended Red Bud School and was employed with Nifast Corporation. Chuck cherished his family and enjoyed riding his Harley.
Survivors include his wife; Audrey Frances Waits Pettit to whom he was married for 26 years, daughters; Carley Pettit McFarland (Daren), Michelle Cromer Green (Billy), Wendie Cromer Storey (Lamar), sister; Kyle Pettit Allen (Randall), grandchildren; Ashleigh Palazzi (Stephen), Jordon Green (Emily), Kearstin Hufstetler (Devin), Madison Jackson, Tucker Murray, Zane McFarland, Hannah Green, Mac Green, great-grandchildren; Aaliyah, Ryleigh, Ahdy, AJ, Benjamin, Niece; Brittany Littlejohn (BJ), nephew; Christopher Allen (Kera), cousins and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Charles W. (Chuck) Pettit will be conducted Tuesday, July 21st at 3:30 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home with Daren McFarland and Chris Waits officiating. Interment will follow in the Herington Family Cemetery near Sugar Valley. Pallbearers serving include; Chris Waits, John Benson, Jordon Green, Devin Hufstetler, Stephen Palazzi and Tucker Murray, honorary pallbearers serving include; Southern Cruisers Motor Cycle Club, Zane McFarland, Bobby Davis, Randy Edge, Lamar Storey, Billy Green, and Archie Waits.
The Pettit family will receive friends on Monday, July 20th between the hours of 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home.
