Charles William Mitchell

Mr. Charles William Mitchell, age 76 of Calhoun passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Brevard, NC on December 22, 1935, son of the late Elmer and Jewell Waldroup Mitchell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Singleton Mitchell, and a sister, Betty Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell was a retired truck driver, and a veteran, having served his country in the US Navy. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Charla and J.R. Richards, and Loretta and Mark Phillips, all of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Vaughn and Pat Mitchell of Easley, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and R.C. Galloway of Hendersonville, NC; and two grandchildren, Carley Richards and Blair Richards.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Charles William Mitchell will be held Thursday, April 12th at 7:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Clifford Free officiating.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00pm until the service hour of 7:00pm.
