Charlotte Mcdonald

Mrs. Charlotte McDonald, age 76 of Calhoun, died Friday March 7, 2008 in Redmond Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mrs. McDonald was born on the 19th day of June in 1931. She was the daughter of the late Willard Lee Walker and Georgia Mae Hix Walker. Preceding her in death was her husband, Harry Neal McDonald Sr. in 2004. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Southern Bell as an operator for 13 years, a substitute teacher in the Cobb County School System for 14 years and was a hair dresser at the Desoto Beauty Shop in Rome for 10 years. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Encouragers Sunday School Class that she dearly loved.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Beasley of Calhoun and Molly Payne and her husband Michael of Calhoun; one son, Harry Neal McDonald Jr. and his wife Brenda of Cumming, Georgia; four grandchildren; Cody James Beasley, April Cheyenne O'Neal, Ian Neal McDonald and Dylan Michael Payne; one great grandson, Reagan Tate O'Neal; one sister, Judy Lundgren of Clemmons, N.C and one brother, Butch Walker of Cartersville, Ga. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte McDonald will be held Sunday, March 9th at 3:00 PM from Trinity Baptist Church, with Pastor Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Brian Walraven, Joe Taylor, Vince Collier, Parham Hammontree, Ronnie Fox and Walter Brown. They are requested to assemble at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home at 2:15 PM Sunday. Honorary Escort will include members of the Encouragers Sunday School Class and the Gordon Hospital E.M.S. Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening at Trinity Baptist Church on Hwy 53 West, between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM.
