Charlotte Mealor

Mrs. Charlotte Henderson Mealor, age 89 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Gordon Health Care Center. She was born in Gordon County on August 1, 1922, daughter of the late Robert and Bessie Mae Payne Henderson.

Mrs. Mealor was also preceded in death her husband, Boyd Mealor in 1986; and by siblings, Lamar Henderson, Shelba McBee, J.L. "Jake" Henderson, Ann Blackstock, Gerald Henderson, and Bobbie Reagin. She was a member of the Belmont Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Greg Mealor of Raleigh, NC; a sister, Wyonelle Dutton and her husband Billy; and two grandchildren, Emily Catherine Mealor, who is in graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and Carolyn Ashley Mealor, a junior at Millbrook High School.

A memorial service to honor the life of Mrs. Charlotte Henderson Mealor will be held Saturday, January 28th at 2:00pm from the Belmont Baptist Church, with Dr. John Allen officiating.
