Cheryl Ann Walraven

Mrs. Cheryl Ann Walraven, age 56 of Calhoun, passed away Friday, January 31, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Fulton County on October 1, 1957, daughter of the late Junior and Shelby Jean Padgett Harris.

Prior to her illness, Cheryl was employed with Mohawk of Dalton in Product Development for 21 years. She never met a stranger, and loved to laugh and have a good time. She was a member of Sugar Valley Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Bruce Walraven; her godson, Seth Parr; a sister-in-law, Susan Walker; special friends, Scotty Mashburn and Frank West; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cheryl Ann Walraven will be held Sunday, February 2nd at 2:00 PM from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. Music will be arranged by Amy Hartsfield and Katy Farley. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Brian Walraven, Mark Millican, Brian Millican, Bobby Walraven, Shane Parr, and Galloway Charles. Honorary pallbearers are members of Zeta Browns Sunday School Class, members of the Senior Mens Sunday School Class, Rev. Howard Duvall, and Rev. David Ray.

The Walraven family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
