Chester Oneal Stanley

Mr. Chester Oneal Stanley, age 72 of Plainville, GA died Friday, January 23, 2015 at his home following several years of declining health. He was born in Brownsville, TN on March 3, 1942 son of the late Thomas and Farnell Kirby Stanley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Stanley; two brothers, Thomas (Jack) Stanley and Dave Stanley; and a sister, Flossie Stanley Harmon.

Mr. Stanley was owner of Stanley's Tree Service. He was a member of Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church.

He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Virginia Garland Stanley; four sons, Randy Stanley, Danny Stanley and his wife Marsha, Tracy Stanley and his wife Debra, and Jamie Stanley and his wife Wendy, all of Plainville; three sisters, Shirley Hicks and her husband Bob, Faye McCloud, and Betty Pilcher, all of Tennessee; and grandchildren, Amanda Stanley, Hannah, Stanley, John Stanley, Savannah Stanley, and Sydney Stanley. Nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Chester Oneal Stanley will be held Sunday, January 25th at 2:00 PM from the Calhoun Full Gospel Fellowship Church, with Pastor Hershel Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Larry Garland, J.C. Garland, Tommy Riffle, Jeffrey Hicks, Jimmy Hicks, and Bobby Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are Sidney Sewell, Barry McEntire, and Johnny Garland.

The Stanley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Saturday, January 24th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Stanley's body will be placed in state at Calhoun Full Gospel Church at 1:00 PM Sunday until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM.
