Mrs. Christine Colvin Crowder, 82 of Carrollton, GA died Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Tanner Health System following a period of declining health. She was born in Chattanooga, TN on September 30, 1932, daughter of the late Alfred and Elmira Colvin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Eugene Crowder in 1995; a daughter, Norma Ferguson; a son, Bobby Crowder; and a grandchild, Rusty Crowder.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Charlene Crowder, and Tommy and Cathy Crowder, all of Calhoun; her daughters and son-in-law, Peggy Carroll, and Tena and Rocky Burdette, all of Carrollton; and grandchildren, William Crowder, Shalene Crowder, Wesley Crowder, Brian Crowder, and Christopher Cook, all of Calhoun, Amanda Burdette of Carrollton, Tracy Lumpkin and Donny McCarter of Calhoun, Missy Bates of Chattanooga, Michael Crowder of Dalton, Jeffery Crowder of Resaca, Kim Mathis of Calhoun, Christopher Castalano, Christina Castalano, and Daniel Castalano, all of Michigan. Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Services to honor the life of Mrs. Christine Colvin Crowder will be held Friday, April 3rd at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Michael Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
The Crowder family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, April 2nd from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
