Obituary

Christine Gonzales passed away peacefully on July 6, 2020, with her loving family at her side. She was 18.
Christine was born on March 13, 2002, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Leon Alberto Jr. and Baudelia (Rivera) Gonzales. She was a resident of Portland and a former resident of Calhoun, GA and Kingsville, TX. Christine was a High School Senior and was employed by Whataburger in Aransas Pass.
Christine was a loving daughter, sister, and child of God. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Preceding in death are her grandfather: Juan Pablo Rivera; great-grandmothers: Guadalupe Gonzales, Elisa G. Jasso and Maria J. Reyes; and great-grandfather: Pablo Jasso.
Survivors include her parents: Leon Jr. and Baudelia Gonzales; 3 brothers: Leon Anthony Gonzales, Levi Andrew Gonzales and Jimmy Lewis Gonzales; 2 sisters: Ivy Gonzales and Anna Ruth Gonzales, all of Portland, Texas; maternal grandmother: Rosalinda Sais of Corpus Christi, Texas; paternal grandparents: Yolanda Palafox (Epignenio) of Sinton, Texas and Leon Albert Gonzales (Janie) of Corpus Christi, Texas; and numerous extended family and friends.
A Christian Burial service will be held, Friday, July 17th at 10:00 AM from the graveside at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Randy Sutherland and Rev. Mike Janow officiating. Due to COVID-19 concerns, social distancing guidelines will be observed and it is advisable but not required to wear a mask, to protect yourself as well as others.
