Charles Herbert "Chuck" Owens, 60, of Calhoun died on Saturday, November 14, 2015, in Cartersville, from injuries received in an automobile accident.

Chuck was born in Okaloosa, Florida on August 23, 1955. His mother, Carolyn Bussey Owens, preceded him in death earlier this year; his son, William Andrew Owens, also preceded him in death in 2001. Chuck was a veteran of The United States Air Force. He was a Master Electrical Technician at Toyo Tires. Chuck had also worked at USG of Cartersville and at Fafnir Industries.

Survivors are his wife, Juanita Bowers Owens; his father, H. L. Owens; his brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Owens; his sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Bailey Oliver; his brothers-in-law and their wives, Charles and Renee Bowers, Jimmy and Johnnie Bowers, and Lloyd and Arlene Bowers; his aunts Vivian Sheehan, Gail Ross, and Charlsie Bobbitt; his nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The Owens family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from Bennett Family Cemetery. Dr. Ken Conner and Rev. Lloyd Bowers will officiate. The United States Air Force Honor Guard will render military honors. Pallbearers are Ray Elmore, Michael Owens, Maxwell Oliver, Josh Oliver, David Bowers, David Anderson, Jeremy Bowers, and Kenneth Bowers. Honorary pallbearers are Chuck's coworkers from the maintenance department at Toyo Tires.

Friends may sign the online guest register at www.maxbrannonandsons.com. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home of Calhoun.
