Clara Bess Weaver

Mrs. Clara Bess Moss Weaver, 86, of the Red Bud community died Thursday, August 23, 2007 following a lengthy illness. She was born September 22, 1920 in Gordon County to the late Grover Downy Moss and Clara Kate Knight Moss. She was a homemaker and life-long member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Larkin Weaver, son Alan Wade Weaver, brother Samuel E. Moss, and sister Julia Lou Hunt.

Survivors, who will miss her beautiful smile, include sons and daughters-in-law Gregory and Sheri Weaver, Wayne and Kitty Weaver, Barry Weaver, Nancy Weaver, Melba Weaver and Nevin and Joann Weaver; brothers and sisters-in-law, G.D. and Alice Moss of Hixon Tennessee, Truett and Yvonne Moss, James and Ila Moss, Hazel Moss, and Lawrence and Margie Moss; grandchildren, David Weaver, Kristi Smith, Ryan Weaver, Amanda Weaver, Allison Volek, Caleb Weaver, Nathan Weaver, Megan Weaver, Garrett Weaver, Sarah Weaver, and Jennifer Jones; great-grandchildren, Davis Smith, Bradley Weaver, Larkyn Crocker, Isabella Weaver and Colt Weaver.

Funeral is Saturday, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Brock and Rev. Winfred Casey officiating. Music will be arranged by Katherine Quinn, Nevin Weaver and congregational singing. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Memorial Park with Rev. Jimmy Faith officiating. Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The Clara Moss Sunday School class will serve as honorary pall- bearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church building fund.
