Clarence Gallman

Mr. Clarence Daniel Gallman, age 82 of Calhoun, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at his residence following several years of declining health. He was born in Gordon County on April 5, 1930, son of the late Marvin and Clara Elders Gallman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Faye Gallman Wyatt; and a sister, Opal Gallman Waldrop.

Mr. Gallman was a truck driver, and owned and operated Calhoun Truck Leasing for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Mary Faye Gilbert Gallman; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Janice Gallman of Resaca; two brothers, Harold Gallman and his wife Gail, and Larry Gallman, all of Calhoun; a sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Don Cochran of Resaca; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Daniel Gallman will be held Friday, January 25th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmie Timms and Rev. Terry Timms officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include nephews, Ronnie Gallman, Jackie Gallman, Steven Cochran, Leroy Gravitt, Mark Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, and Zevin Gilbert.

The Gallman family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Alzheimer's or breast cancer research.
