Mr. Clarence "Jack" Goforth, age 58 of Cartersville, died Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at the Cartersville Medical Center.
Mr. Goforth was born on December 17, 1948 in Gordon County, son of the late Alvin and Dimple Petty Goforth. Besides his parents, Mr. Goforth was preceded in death by one son, Randy Garrett and by four brothers; Luther Goforth, Eugene Goforth, Charles Goforth and Franklin Goforth.
Mr. Goforth is survived by stepchildren; Don Garrett, Devitt Garrett, Timmy Garrett, Daniel Garrett, Lyvet Garrett, and Timmy Garrett, all of Cartersville; one sister; Mary Burns and her husband Fred of Plainville; three brothers; Richard Goforth, Billy Goforth and his wife Louise, all of Plainville; Jerry Goforth and his wife Cindy, of Calhoun; and special friends, Nan Crosswhite, and Mr. Mrs. Henry Floyd. Several grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Clarence "Jack" Goforth will be conducted Sunday, August 26 at 2:00pm, from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow the service at the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Saturday evening from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
The family requests flowers be omitted and donations be made to Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
