Clarence Jack Holder

Mr. Clarence Jack Holder, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014. Mr. Holder was born in Dalton, GA on September 14, 1945, son of the late Benjamin Lee Holder and Roxie Earlene Thomas Holder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Janelle Holder and Francis Collins of Calhoun, GA; and four brothers, Guy Holder of Calhoun, GA, Mariew Holder of Calhoun, GA, Daniel Holder of Augusta, GA, and Oscar Holder of Leighton, AL.

Mr. Holder was a veteran who served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era.

He leaves behind his wife Marilyn Kay Chastain Holder, to who he was married to for 45 years; two sons, Lee Holder of Calhoun, GA and David Holder of Calhoun,GA; two daughters, Mary Collins and her husband Roger of Adairsville, GA and Tammy Holder of Calhoun, GA; two sisters, Margie Trambell of McDonough, GA and Jean Harris of Dalton, GA; nine grandchildren, Nikki and Kelly Nesbitt, Charlene and Dennis Phillips, Roger Collins III, Elizabeth Collins, David Holder, Chris Holder, and Samuel Holder; five great-grandchildren, Collen Phillips, Eliah Phillips, Maryann Lingerfelt, Shaun Nesbitt, and Andrew Messey. Twenty nieces and nephews also survive.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Clarence Jack Holder will be scheduled at a later date.
