Clarence L. Jones

Mr. Clarence Lee Jones, 95 of Sugar Valley, died Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his residence, following several years declining health.
He was born in Gordon County, GA on July 13, 1921, son of the late Richard and Bessie Mae Williams Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Harbor Jones in 2009; his son, Clarence Jones Jr.; his daughter, JoAnn Jones; and sisters, Valeria Wilson, Helen Rogers, and E.O. Currence.

During his lifetime, he was a farmer, and enjoyed raising and milking his Jersey dairy cows. He was a dedicated member of Dalton Free Holiness Church, and was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
Mr. Jones is survived by four sisters, Nell Brown of Sugar Valley, Mary Sue Holsomback of Dalton, Dorothy Arnold of Sugar Valley, and Sara Beth Barker of St. Petersburg, FL; a brother, Max Jones of Rocky Face; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Services to honor the life of Mr. Clarence Lee Jones will be held Saturday, January 28th at 1:00 PM from Dalton Free Holiness Church, with Pastor Edward Atchley and Brother Dale Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery on Hall Memorial Road.

The Jones family will receive friends at Dalton Free Holiness Church, Friday, January 27th, beginning at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Mr. Jones memory to Dalton Free Holiness Church, 291 Holiness Way, Resaca, GA 30735.
