Cleo Cochran Talley

Mrs. Cleo Cochran Talley, age 85 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at Gordon Hospital. She was born in Jasper, GA on December 24, 1928, daughter of the late William Henry Cochran, Sr. and the late Eunice Landers Cochran. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Trammell Talley in 2011; brothers, Theodore Cochran and William H. (Faye) Cochran; sisters, Madge Cochran, Rena Mae Cochran, Jewell Hefner (Vernie), all of Jasper; and Stella Dinsmore (Grover) of Calhoun; and a grandson, Zach Talley of Calhoun.

Cleo was retired from AA Vending, and was a member of West Union Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her children, Debra T. Davis of Phenix City, AL; Doug Talley and his wife Cathy, and Mitch Talley and his wife Cindy, all of Calhoun; grandchildren, David (Shanda) Davis of Hatchechubbee, AL, Cecelia McMillian of Columbus, GA, Holly (Chris) Hasty of Phenix City, Drake Talley, Christopher Talley, Sophia Talley, and Jack Talley, all of Calhoun; great-grandchildren, Katee (Chris) Leyen of Ludowici, GA, Jessica Davis of Smiths, AL, Ethan Robertson and Evan Robertson of Phenix City, and Taylor Hasty and Luke Hasty of Hatchechubbee; great-great grandchildren, Trystan Leyen and Bailee Leyen of Ludowici; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, J.S. Talley and Faye Talley of Calhoun.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cleo Cochran Talley will be held Wednesday, September 24th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Reid and Rev. Jackie Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include David Davis, Ethan Robertson, Christopher Talley, Drake Talley, Bobby Talley, and Donnie Everett. Honorary pallbearers are former employees of AA Vending, and the staff of Calhoun Health Care.

The Talley family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
