Obituary
Cody Preston "Stickbird" Lovingood, died suddenly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Cody was born on December 28, 1989 in Calhoun. He was a 2008 graduate of Sonoraville High School where he played basketball and baseball. Cody worked at Polymer Solutions Group. He enjoyed video games and Pokemon cards and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Falcons.
Cody is survived by his mother, Kimberly Silvers, his father Tony (Suzanne Greeson) Lovingood; his brothers, Blake Ware and Jake Lovingood; his sisters, Tia Cobb, Teagan Lovingood, and Lillian Lovingood; his grandparents, Judy and Earl Amonett, Larry Silvers, Vivian Lovingood, and Larry Lovingood; aunts and uncles, Jana and Glenn Ballinger, Scott and Amy Silvers, Adam and Alicia Lovingood, and Michael and Amanda Hufstettler; many cousins, and close friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Crane Eater Community Church. The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from Crane Eater Community Church. Codys body will lie in state at the church on Sunday from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Crane Eater Cemetery. Pastor Howard Strickland will officiate. His closest friends, Blake Ware, Brody Manis, Cody Pass, Mason Dixon, Chanc Clayton, Brett Sisson, Chase Cater, and Justin Breneman will serve as pallbearers.
