Coleen Causby Wilson

Coleen Causby Wilson, 86, of Resaca died at her home on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, following several years of declining health. Coleen was born in Murray County on August 20, 1931; she was the daughter the late Manuel and Willie Bell Mealor Causby. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of sixty-seven years, James Edward Wilson Sr.; her son, James Edward Wilson Jr., her sisters. Mildred Jackson and Faynelle Adams; her brother-in-law, Ernest Wilson. A homemaker, Coleen was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. She liked to cook and work in her garden. Coleen deeply loved her family.
Coleen is survived by her daughter, Gwen Eden; her grandchildren, Jeff (Heather) Holmes, Kevin (Tamara) Holmes, Cindi Fortmann, and Laura P. Melkerson; her great-grandchildren, Ashley Holmes, Hunter Holmes, Kaylie Holmes, Kylie Holmes, Khloe Holmes, Jaden Fortmann, Bailey Fortmann, Trey Lanning, and Micaela Lanning; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Delma Ray, Brenda and Clarence Long, Karen and Eddie Kirby, Hilda Davis, and Darlene Herndon; her brothers and sister-in-law, Bobby and Shelba Causby, and Gilbert Causby; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The Wilson family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Fain Cemetery. Pastor Luke Morgan will officiate; Andrew Moore will be in charge of the music. Pallbearers are Jeff Holmes, Kevin Holmes, Hunter Holmes, Kevin Holsomback, Shane Causby, Jesse Baker, and Cory Baker; honorary pallbearers are Red Hicks, Everette Greeson, and her caregivers, Janis Ward, Brenda Moore, and Brenda Bates.
