Curtis Wayne Davis

Mr. Curtis Wayne Davis, age 73 of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Lamb City, TX on January 18, 1941, son of Bernice Henderson Cole and the late William Davis. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Brett Davis; a brother, Gene Davis of Billings, Montana; grandsons, Cory Long and Brett Davis; and his step-father, Everett Cole.

Mr. Davis was a veteran, serving his country in the US Navy, and was retired from the oil industry.

He leaves behind his wife, Diane Johnson Davis of the home; his children, Robert Long and his wife Amy of Tunnel Hill, Kurt Davis and his wife Kelly of Oklahoma, Brian Davis and his wife Kim of Amarillo, TX, Chad Davis and his wife Stephanie of Illinois, Kelly Davis of Amarillo, Becky Evans and her husband Jamie of Adairsville, and Marietta Combs and her husband Roman of Oklahoma; a brother, Gary Cole of Hart, TX; sisters, Linda Baker of Louisiana, Carolyn Harmon and her husband Billy of Dimmitt, TX, and Ann Pevehouse of Hart, TX; and a sister-in-law, Mary Davis. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives also survive.

Mr. Davis will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
