C.W. Greeson

Mr. C.W. Greeson, age 84 of Calhoun, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at his residence. He was born is Gordon County on December 3, 1923 son of the late Claude and Louella Barton Greeson. Mr. Greeson was retired from Lockheed Georgia Aircraft Corporation where he worked for thirty-two years, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip W. Greeson, brothers and sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Greeson, Benson Greeson, Wilbur Greeson and sisters and brothers-in-law, Lily and Homer Ray, Mary Sue and Paul Talley and Bill Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Gwendolyn Louise Rann Greeson of Calhoun; a daughter, Beth Greeson Fox of Calhoun; a son and daughter-in-law, Danny R. and Joyce Greeson of Calhoun; three brothers and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Greeson, Leon Greeson and his wife Margaret, and Everett Greeson; and two sisters, Annie Ruth Greeson and Lois Johnson. Five grandchildren, Christy Fox Harcrow, Brian Fox, Dana Greeson, Colby Greeson and Ricky Greeson; four great-grandchildren, Dillan and Ryan Harcrow, Gabriel Fox, and Cade Greeson, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. C. W. Greeson will be conducted Friday, November 7 at 11:00am from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Jether Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will include Tim Harcrow, Dwight Gentry, Brett Sloan, Colby Greeson, Ricky Greeson, and Ronnie Reeves. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Friday at 10:15am. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
