Miss Cynthia Ruth Brendel, age 48, of Calhoun, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center, following several years of declining health. She was born on September 27, 1959, daughter of Dewey and Ruth Long Brendel. Miss Brendel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edna Long Crowe and Frank Austin Long, and Albert and Agnes Brendel.

Survivors include her parents, Dewey and Ruth Long Brendel of Calhoun; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Mike Brendel and Becky Rutledge of Calhoun, Terry and Dawn Brendel of Acworth, and Ronald and Rebecca Brendel of Calhoun; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Bradford and her husband Stacey, Amanda Brendel, Ashley Brendel, Tegan Brendel, Lexi Brendel, Ali Brendel and Nicholas Brendel, and two great-nephews, Nicholas Bradford and Adam Bradford.

Funeral services for Miss Cynthia Ruth Brendel will be conducted Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 3:00pm from the chapel of the Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev .Edward Atchley officiating. Music will be arranged by Stacey Bradford. Burial will follow in the Gordon Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers serving will include Parks Chastain, Steve Black, Junior Brendel, Brian Brendel, Stacey Bradford, Michael Crider and Joseph Crider. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Friday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
