Daisy June Holland

Mrs. Daisy June Holland, age 75 of Resaca, passed away Monday July 18, 2011.

She was born in Gordon County on June 12, 1936, daughter of the late Lum and Winnie Tatum Greeson. During her lifetime, she worked in health care as a nurse and was a member of the Resaca Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Holland; a brother, Bill Greeson; and four sisters, Myra G. Thornbrough, Bennie Lee Barrett, Bonnie Hall and Robbie Greeson.

Survivors include two sons, Fred Holland Jr. and Zip Holland, both of Resaca; a brother, Tatum Greeson of Calhoun; a sister, Barbara Jo Harbour of Nashville, TN; and two grandchildren, Raleigh Sheree Holland and Ory Lane Holland. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral Services for Daisy June Holland will be conducted Tuesday, July 19 at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Music will be arranged by Donna Couch. Burial will follow the service in the Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Toby Holland, Randy Holland, Byron Greeson, Eddie Woodall and Mickey Simpson. These gentlemen are asked to assemble at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30pm.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 10:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.
