Dale Ray Butler

Mr. Dale Ray Butler, age 53 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at Gordon Hospital. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 30, 1958, son of Kathryn Avirine Lindsey Butler and the late Fred Lee Butler. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky Butler and Lamar Butler.

Mr. Butler moved from Chicago to Gordon County at age 12, and attended Red Bud School. He was employed in the textile industry.

Survivors include his wife, Arcelia Garcia Butler; a son, Brandon Butler of Cartersville; three daughters, Erica Abraham and Heather Butler of Calhoun, and Amanda Butler of Cartersville; three brothers, Gary Butler of Chattanooga, TN, Eddie Butler of Decatur, AL, and Timmy Butler of Calhoun; and two sisters, Cathy Banks and Tammy Greeson, both of Calhoun. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Dale Ray Butler will be held Wednesday, February 29th at 2:00pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethesda Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Wednesday from 11:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00pm.
