Danny Joe Massingill

Mr. Danny Joe Massingill, 57 of Calhoun, died Monday, June 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Gordon County on March 15, 1959, son of Hazel Dale Barnette and the late Joel C. Massingill.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Ashley Massingill, Billy and Brooke Massingill, and Christopher Massingill; his mother and step-father, Hazel and Larry Barnette; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Pamela Massingill, and Matthew and Alma Massingill; a sister, Sarah Massingill; and grandchildren, Adrianna Bagwell, Ethan Hunter Massingill, Caleb Andrew Massingill, Summer Cheyenne Massingill, Samuel Styles, Travis Massingill, Dakota Massingill, Sabrina Massingill, Brandon Massingill, Wesley Trey Massingill, and Jordan Massingill.

Services to honor the life of Mr. Danny Joe Massingill will be held Friday, June 10th at 1:00 PM from West Union Baptist Church, with Rev. Jimmy Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Daniel Massingill, Billy Massingill, Shane Barnette, Dustin Baldwin, Gary Locke, and Justin Everett. Dewey Dunaway will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The Massingill family will receive friends at West Union Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM.
