Darlene Renea Muse

Mrs. Darlene Renea Muse, 47, of Resaca died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center following a sudden heart attack. She was born in Dalton, GA on August 9, 1967, daughter of Cecil Weaver and the late Ollie Hayes Weaver.

Darlene was a graduate of Southeast Whitfield High School. She was a Head Start Teacher at Valley Point School from 1993 until 1999, a school bus driver with Whitfield County, and employed with Kangaroo as a Clerk at Carbondale until 2010.

She leaves behind her husband, to whom she was married for 15 years, Nicky Muse; her father, Cecil Weaver of Dalton; a son, Andrew Muse of Resaca; four daughters, Leslie Renfro and her husband Terry of Calhoun, Melinda Spires and her husband Andrew of Calhoun, Cassie Freeman and her husband Matt of Armuchee, and Christie Postin and her husband Gerald of Adairsville; three sisters, Wanda Hughes of Dalton, Kathy Hall of Sugar Valley, and Lillie Weaver and her husband Jeff of Dalton; grandchildren, Lexi, Amaya, Malachi, Maliyak, Skyler, Caleb, Annaleigh, and two on the way.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Darlene Renea Muse will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from the Sugar Valley Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Phillips and Rev. John Everett officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers serving are Andrew Spires, Matt Freeman, Terry Renfro, Gerald Postin, Fred Little, and Mark Muse.

The Muse family will receive friends at Sugar Valley Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 3rd from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
