David Baxter

Mr. David Baxter, age 43, of Ranger, passed away August 21, 2007 at his residence following several weeks of declining health. He was born in Floyd County on June 19, 1964, son of Billy and Kay Greeson Baxter. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and all games, and was employed with Rhodes Flooring Company in Biloxi, MS. Mr. Baxter was a member of the Calhoun Elks Club and St. Timothy's Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his parents, Billy and Kay Greeson Baxter; a daughter; Molly Fayte Baxter; a sister and brother-in-law; Rebecca and Robert Paris; a nephew; Andrew Tierce, and an aunt; Avanell Daves, all of Calhoun.

Funeral services for Mr. David Baxter will be conducted Wednesday, August 22, at 11:00am from the St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, with The Rev. Louis Tonsmeire officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Andrew Tierce, Noah Paris, Jeff Brown, Joel Suggs, Reed Bearden, and Dale Angland. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00pm.

The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations be made in David's name to the St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 224 Trammell Street, Calhoun, GA, 30701.
