David Bennett

Mr. David Clinton Bennett, age 68 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Gordon Health Care.

Mr. Bennett was born February 12, 1942 in Whitfield County, to James Clinton and Toni Schrivner Bennett. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Peeler Goldberry Bennett.

Survivors include his mother, Toni Schrivner; four sons, Minister Barry Bennett and his wife Bonnie of Adairsville, Timothy Marvin Bennett and James Dewayne Bennett of Adairsville, and Mathew Goldsberry of Calhoun; a daughter, Jonie Hayes and her husband Christian of Adairsville; brothers, Jessie Bennett and his wife Linda of Chatsworth, Benny Bennett of Ashville, GA, Lee Bennett and his wife Wilma of Calhoun, Larry Ledford and his wife Dixie of Sugar Valley, Delmar Ledford and his wife Margaret of Ranger, and Ronnie Ledford and his wife Dottie of Calhoun; and sisters, Judy Kilby of Rocky Face, Dean Singlton and her husband Wayne, and Faye Wood and her husband Byron of Fairmount, Brenda Skinner and her husband Johnny of Ranger, Lucy Cook and her husband Mike of Calhoun, Loretta Ledford of Calhoun, and Jackie Ledford of Calhoun. Grandchildren Sandra Schell of Cartersville, Bridget Black, Ronald Striker, Zack Herrero, Zane Herrero, all of Calhoun, Josh Carr of Temple GA., Crystal Gross of Ranger, and Corrina Goldberry of Calhoun. Great-grandchildren include Andrew and Ari of Calhoun, Chandler Schell of Cartersville, Isiaha and McKinna of Temple, and Leann and Angle of Calhoun. An aunt, Margaret Crowder of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Memorial services for Mr. David Clinton Bennett will be conducted at 11a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home, with Ministers Delmar Ledford and Barry Bennett officiating. Music will be arranged by Bryon Wood. Interment will be in the Sunrise Cemetery in Englewood, TN.
