David Charles Muse

Mr. David Charles Muse, age 61 of Calhoun, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Muse was born on September 16, 1951 In Gordon County, son of Robert Earl Muse and the late Troy Lee Wyatt Muse.

During his lifetime he served his country with the United States Army National Guard from 1970 until 1983, and was employed as an installer in the flooring industry. He was a member of the Oostanaula Baptist Church, the American Legion Post and the VFW Post.

Survivors include his wife, Valerie Sharon Risley Muse of the home; daughters, Kaveri Hornick and her husband Benji of Martin, GA, Lisa Carrillo and her husband Tony of Calhoun, Vanessa Crider of Ranger, and Tracy Hunter of Summerville; sons, Josh Muse and his wife Elyse of Martin, David Johnson of Calhoun; father, Earl Muse of Calhoun; a sister, Doris Muse of Lyerly; a brother, Larry Muse and his wife Darlene of Calhoun; grandchildren, Odessa Carrillo, Courtney Johnson, Kristopher Crider, Savannah Crider, Jasmine Johnson, Logan Johnson, Charlie Hunter and Sarah Hunter; aunts, Florence Muse and Sarah Muse; nephews, Dwayne Muse, Will Muse and Ty Muse; and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. David Charles Muse will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:00pm from the Oostanaula Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Hunt and Rev. David Peeler officiating. The Muse family will receive friends at Oostanaula Baptist Church the day of the memorial service for one hour prior to the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
