David Ernest Cochran

Mr. David Ernest Cochran, 65 of Adairsville, GA died suddenly on Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home. He was born in Gordon County on January 29, 1951, son of the late William Ernest and Inez Johnson Cochran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Josh Cochran and Jody Cochran.

David was retired from Mannington, and was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Nancy Dyer; aunts and uncle, Edith and Ned Erwin of Oklahoma; Dolly Johnson, Vera Johnson, Mary Johnson and Ruth Johnson, cousins, Larry Johnson, Sonya Phillips, Joyce Holbert, Karen Capehart, Michael Johnson, Bryan Johnson, Linda Baggett, Ricky Johnson, Ronnie Johnson, Brenda Guy, Billy Cochran, Jether Cochran, Jerry Cochran, Mary Catherine Cochran, Bernard Cochran, Donna Hampton, James Henson and Wanda Tate; a special friend, Matt Davis; and many other friends and other relatives.

Services to honor the life of Mr. David Ernest Cochran will be held Thursday, February 18th at 3:00 pm from Union Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Jether Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Larry, Michael, Bryan, Ricky, and Ronnie Johnson, and James Henson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Dodd, Mike Gilbert, Charlie Kirby, David Green, Danny Gilbert, and his "Breakfast Buddies".

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 17th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
