David Eugene "Gene" Hogue

Mr. David Eugene "Gene" Hogue, 72 of Fairmount, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015. He was born in Naples, FL on February 12, 1943, son of the late David and Eunice Fowler Hogue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Sue Sams Hogue; his son, Douglas Lee Hogue in 2006; and a brother, Pepper Hogue.

Mr. Hogue was the owner and operator of Gene Hogue Tufting.

Survivors include his loving companion of 15 years, Doris Wilson; a son, Jeff Turner of Fairmount; daughters, April Turner of Lathemtown and Jessica Hedden of Calhoun; and grandchildren, Tucker, Kevin, Chloe, and Gage.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 30th at 7:00 pm from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
