David Michael Bowling

Mr. David Michael Bowling, Sr. age 57 of Sugar Valley died Tuesday morning in Redmond Regional Medical Center after an extended period of declining health.

Mr. Bowling was born on June 13, 1955, son of the late Junior Lee Bowling and Bobbie Jo Harris Bowling. Prior to becoming disabled he was employed by Kobelco Corporation in Calhoun. He was a member of Sugar Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Hall Bowling; four daughters, Lilian (Bug-Bug) Bowling of Sugar Valley, Stephanie Ritchie and her husband Anthony of Dalton, Teresa Bowling, and Angie Hall of Calhoun; a son, David Michael Bowling, Jr. and his wife Megan of Dalton; a sister, Tonya Harris Tharp of Calhoun; five brothers, Charles Robert Hicks, Sr. of Dalton, Richard Howard Hicks, Sr. of Calhoun, Shane May of Hiram, Tommy Bowling of Lithia Springs, and Greg Bowling of Douglasville; two grandsons, Maddox Ritchie and Kohen Ritchie, both of Dalton; an aunt, Mary Lee Landress; and a special caregiver and friend, Amy Pittman of Cartersville.

Funeral services for Mr. David Michael Bowling, Sr. will be conducted Friday, June 14th at 2:00 PM from Sugar Valley Baptist Church, with Rev. Mitch Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers are Tommy Bowling, Carl Bowman, Rick Robbins, Bobby Mathis, Steve Rierson, Bruce Mealor, and Chris Smith.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 14th from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at Sugar Valley Baptist Church.
