Mr. Nathan Henderson age 59, a lifelong resident of Calhoun, died Thursday morning, August 7, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
Nathan was born on October 28, 1954 in Gordon County, and was the son of the late John S. Henderson, Jr. and Mildred Chastain Henderson. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation after 28 years of service. Nathan was a member of the 1974 graduating class of Calhoun High School. He was a Baptist and had attended Damascus Baptist Church.
Nathan is survived by three brothers, Bruce Henderson and his wife Charlene of Calhoun, Mickey Henderson and his wife Yvonne of Rome, and Chip Henderson and his wife Cheryl of Calhoun; nieces and nephews, India, Kelly, Jason, Jay, Misty, Chris, Joshua, Cassie and Carlie; and great nieces and nephews, Madison, Mallory, Allie, Gabe, Ty, Drew, Kaylee, Evan, Jaxon, Rosie, Kash, Marley, and Ellie Jo.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 9th at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Eddie Brannon officiating. Music will be arranged by Wesley Roach and Dr. Michele Williams Taylor. Burial will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include Chip Henderson, Mickey Henderson, Bruce Henderson, Josh Henderson, Gerald Murphy, Danny Bowman, and Harold Stanley.
The Henderson family will receive friends Friday, August 8th between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.maxbrannonandsons.com.
