David Paul Pasley

Mr. David Paul Pasley, age 67 of Adairsville, departed this life Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Redmond Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born in Gordon County on May 18, 1942, son of the late G.W. and Bernice Smith Pasley. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary J. Ross Pasley; two brothers, Joseph E. "Bill" Pasley, and Neil Pasley; and grandparents, Denard and Esther Cooper Pasley, and Hugh and Nellie McDougle Smith.

Mr. Pasley was retired from Lockheed Martin. He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Jennifer and Marty Potts; a son, David Pasley of Adairsville; brothers, Gordon Lee Pasley and James Pasley, both of Adairsville, and Steve Pasley and his wife Millie of Cedartown; and a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Clyde McEntire of Calhoun. Many other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. David Paul Pasley will be conducted Friday, August 7 at 3:00pm from the Union Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. David Baker and Rev. Clyde McEntire officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will include Jerome Pasley, Greg Pasley, Steve Pasley, Mark Bunch, Chris Hough, and Chris Watson. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home Friday at 2:00pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Buddy Bunch, Bobby Bunch, Tommy Goodnight, Kenneth Sheriff, Varner Meadows, and Mr. Pasley's Lockheed Martin friends.

The Pasley family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
