Debbie Elaine Ferguson, age 55 of the Sonoraville Community, went to be with her Lord Jesus on March 21, 2016 at Redmond Medical Center. She was surrounded by many family members and friends. The family sends a special "Thank You" to the staff of Redmond and Gordon Hospital.
Debbie was a graduate of Calhoun High School, and worked in the textile industry. She was a Christian for many years, and membership at Corinth Baptist Church. Her specialty was her great love of children. She taught the Primary classes for over 30 years. Everyone who knew Debbie had a positive comment.
She was the daughter of Mrs. Frankie Gibson Ferguson, and the granddaughter of the late Asberry and Ottie Gee Gibson, and Mr. and Mrs. D.L. Ferguson. She was the oldest sister of Steve, Timothy, and Rebecca Ferguson. She had numerous friends, nieces, and nephews; a sister-in-law, Robin Ferguson; and special friends, Kim, Theresa, and Sherry.
The family has planned these services in honor of Debbie. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday, March 23rd and 24th, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor Debbie will be held on Friday, March 25th at 1:00 PM from Corinth Baptist Church. Interment will be at the family lot of Gaines Cemetery in Sonoraville. Friends and family will officiate. The following men will serve the honors of pallbearers; Chad Ferguson, Justin Ferguson, Ben Turner, Ken Chapman, Charles Sluder, and Chad Caudill. Honorary pallbearers will be her special friends and church members.
