Deloris C. Barton

Mrs. Deloris C. Barton, age 60 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born in Gordon County on April 5, 1949, daughter of the late C.B. and Geneva Goble Carden. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey Lee Harris; two sisters, Joan Gallman and Charlotte Postell; and a niece, Christy West.

Deloris was employed by Gordon Hospital as a Nurse Tech, and was a charter member of Meadowdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Barton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonuya and Brian Anderson, and Patty and Walter Wilson, all of Calhoun; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ida Carden of Cartersville; a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and James Rickett of Calhoun; and five grandchildren, Drake Anderson, Emily Anderson, Riley Anderson, Nick Wilson, and Keagan Wilson. Several nieces, nephews, and many friends also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Deloris C. Barton will be conducted Tuesday, December 15th at 2:00pm from the Meadowdale Baptist Church, with Dr. Stephen Pearson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home Monday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
