Dessie Chastain Ledford Buser

Mrs. Dessie Chastain Ledford Buser, age 89 of Calhoun, passed away Monday, March 24, 2008 at Gordon Hospital.

Mrs. Buser was born on December 22, 1918, daughter of the late Virgil Chastain and Leona Wooten Chastain. She was preceded in death by three sons, Lloyd (Bud) Ledford, Gene Ledford, and Charles Ledford; by a twin sister, Jessie Robertson, and three brothers; Charlie Chastain, Virgil (VH) Chastain and J.P. Chastain. She was a member of the Evangelistic Outreach Ministry.

Mrs. Buser is survived by one daughter, Linda White of Calhoun, and three sons; James Luther Ledford of Calhoun, Jerry Ledford of Ranger, and Bobby Ledford of Washington state. Thirty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dessie Chastain Ledford Buser will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00pm, from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. J.B. Kirby officiating. Pallbearers serving will include Casey Chastain, Rusty Hover, Billy Fuller, Mike Ledford, Tony Temple and Chad Temple. Interment will follow the service at the White Cemetery in Villanow, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home Monday evening, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm.
