Diane Watford

Mrs. Sherry Diane Watford, age 56 of the West Union Community; Calhoun, Georgia; past away Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Watford was born on October 18, 1953 at Marietta, Georgia; daughter Wayne Cook and the late Irene Dobson Cook. During her lifetime she was a manager for the Sara Lee Corporation and was a member of West Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Watford is survived by her husband, Cal Howard Watford, III to whom she was married for 27 years. One daughter; Melissa Hooker of Calhoun, Georgia. One son; Cody Watford of Calhoun, Georgia. A special daughter; Blane Purdy of Calhoun, Georgia. Father; Wayne Cook of Marietta, Georgia. One sister; Sandi Hooker of Marietta, Georgia. Two grandchildren; Dylan Mealor and Hannah Mealor. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Sherry Diane Watford will be conducted Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the West Union Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Couch officiating. The family will receive friends at the church Saturday from 12:00 noon until the memorial service at 2:00 pm In lieu of flowers; contributions may be made in Diane's memory to the ALS of Georgia or AtPeace Hospice of Calhoun 216B Newtown Rd. Calhoun, GA. 30701.
