Diane Willix

Mrs. Hilda Diane Willix, age 62 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008 at Hamilton Medical Center following several years of declining health. She was born in Gordon County on September 29, 1945, daughter of the late Roy and Ida Nicholson Duvall. She was employed by the Gordon County School System, and was a member of New Town Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Duvall.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Terry Willix, to whom she was married for 39 years; a son, Michael Willix of Dalton; and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Diane Willix will be conducted Tuesday, February 26, at 11:00am from the New Town Baptist Church, with Rev. David Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Haven of Rest Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include W.B. Hobby, Tony Nicholson, Tim Duvall, Herbert Thacker, Matthew Crowder, Bobby Duvall, and Juddie Campbell. These gentlemen are asked to meet at the funeral home Tuesday at 10:00am. Honorary pallbearers will include the Deacons of New Town Baptist Church. They are asked to meet at the church Tuesday at 10:45am.
