Obituary

Dianne McHugh Cronon, 65, of Calhoun died Tuesday, February 13, 2018. She was born in Gordon County on March 18, 1952, daughter of the late J.W. McHugh and Virginia Reece McHugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Cronon and a sister, Bonnie West. A graduate of Berry College, Diane was the branch manager of the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library where she was instrumental in the updating, renovation, and operation of the library. An avid reader, Dianes job was more than a career, it was a passion that she shared with the many friends she made with the librarys patrons.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Harold Cronon; a son, Keith Cronon; a grandson, Stephen Payne; a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Vicki McHugh; an aunt, Nancy Alvis; and her cousins, Linda Brookshire and Rusty Kown.
The Cronon family will receive friends at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, February 15th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 16th at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Brannon will officiate. Burial will follow at Fain Cemetery.
